This Privacy Policy explains how aQRify collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, sign in with Google, generate QR codes, manage a workspace, use dynamic QR redirects, or otherwise interact with aQRify.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. By using aQRify, you acknowledge the privacy practices described here. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the service.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, password hash, email verification status, and workspace details.

Authentication information. We process email verification tokens, password reset tokens, session cookies, and Google account identifiers when you use Google sign-in. Passwords are not stored in plain text.

QR code content. We process the destinations, payloads, labels, short codes, URLs, text, logos, colors, frames, templates, and other customization choices you provide when creating or managing QR codes.

Support and communications. If you contact us, we may process the content of your messages, attachments, troubleshooting details, and related correspondence.

When you use aQRify, we may automatically collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referring page, pages visited, feature usage, timestamps, error logs, session duration, and security events.

We may use local storage and cookies to remember interface preferences such as light or dark mode, maintain secure sessions, and support authentication flows.

If dynamic QR redirects and analytics are enabled, aQRify may process limited scan data such as scan time, approximate location inferred from IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referrer where available, and related operational logs.

Google sign-in. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive information needed to authenticate you, such as your Google account identifier, email address, email verification status, and name where provided.

Service providers. We may receive operational information from hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, payment, security, and support providers when those services are connected to aQRify.

Payment processors. If aQRify offers paid plans, payment details such as card numbers will be handled by payment processors. aQRify should not store full payment card numbers on its own systems.

We use information to provide and maintain aQRify, create and manage accounts, verify email addresses, process sign-ins, reset passwords, maintain sessions, generate QR codes, save workspace data, serve dynamic redirects, and show account dashboards.

We use information to secure the service, detect abuse, investigate errors, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, protect users and scanners, rate-limit traffic, and respond to legal or safety concerns.

We use information to improve aQRify, understand which features are useful, debug issues, measure product performance, prioritize development, and communicate important service updates.

Where paid features are introduced, we may use information to manage plans, billing, invoices, cancellations, refunds, tax records, and payment disputes.

People who scan a QR code created with aQRify may not have a aQRify account. If a dynamic redirect is used, aQRify may process scan-related information to deliver the redirect, prevent abuse, and provide analytics to the QR code creator.

Scan analytics should be treated as operational and performance data. We aim to minimize scanner data and present analytics in a privacy-conscious way where possible.

If you create QR codes for customers, visitors, employees, students, guests, or other people, you are responsible for providing any privacy notices and obtaining any consent required for your use case.

If you are in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following grounds.

Contractual necessity: to provide the service you requested, operate your account, generate QR codes, maintain your workspace, and provide support.

Legitimate interests: to secure aQRify, prevent abuse, improve features, measure performance, maintain logs, and understand how the service is used, balanced against your rights and expectations.

Consent: where required for optional marketing, non-essential cookies, or other optional processing. You may withdraw consent where applicable.

Legal obligations: to comply with laws, lawful requests, tax requirements, accounting rules, safety obligations, and dispute-resolution needs.

aQRify uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for core functionality. These include session management, Google OAuth state protection, theme preference, security, and account access.

Strictly necessary cookies are required for authentication, security, and service operation. Disabling them may prevent aQRify from working properly.

If analytics, experimentation, advertising, or non-essential tracking tools are added in the future, aQRify should provide appropriate notice and controls where required by law.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some browser restrictions may affect login, session timeout, dashboard access, or saved preferences.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless this Policy is updated and any legally required choices are provided.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate aQRify, including hosting, databases, email delivery, authentication, analytics, error monitoring, security, payments, and support tools.

We may share information when required by law, court order, subpoena, regulatory request, or to protect the rights, safety, property, and security of aQRify, users, scanners, or the public.

If aQRify is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Account data is generally kept while your account is active. Some records may be retained after account closure for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups, dispute resolution, and legitimate business records.

Email verification and password reset tokens are temporary and are designed to expire. Used tokens are deleted when consumed. Session cookies expire according to their configured lifetime and may be cleared when you sign out or are timed out.

QR code data and redirect configuration may be retained while your account or workspace is active. Analytics and logs may be retained for a limited period and then deleted, aggregated, or de-identified.

Backup copies may persist for a limited period after deletion from active systems until normal backup rotation removes them.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including hashed passwords, hashed verification and reset tokens, secure session cookies, access controls, encryption in transit, and operational logging.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a secure email account, protecting your password, signing out on shared devices, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

If a personal data breach occurs, we will provide notices required by applicable law.

aQRify may be operated from the United States and may use service providers in the United States or other countries. Your information may be processed in countries that have privacy laws different from those where you live.

Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information about you.

You may also have the right to withdraw consent, opt out of certain processing, appeal a denied privacy request, or lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator.

To exercise rights, contact us through the support or privacy contact method made available on aQRify. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information.

aQRify does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used under California law.

Residents of other US states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of data, and opt out of certain processing. We will honor applicable rights as required by law.

aQRify is not directed to children and is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to aQRify, contact us so we can investigate and delete information where required by law.

Because QR codes may be placed in public or shared environments, minors may scan QR codes created by others. The destination site, not aQRify, may have its own privacy practices.

aQRify QR codes may link to third-party websites, apps, files, payment pages, social profiles, menus, forms, or other destinations chosen by the QR code creator.

Third-party destinations have their own privacy policies, security practices, and terms. aQRify is not responsible for how those third parties collect, use, or share information.

Review the privacy policy of any third-party destination you visit or connect to aQRify.

You may request account deletion where available through account settings or by contacting aQRify. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

Deleting an account may remove dashboard access, saved QR codes, workspace data, and dynamic redirect configuration. Dynamic QR codes may stop working after account deletion.

Some information may be retained where required or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, backups, dispute resolution, accounting, or legitimate business records.

We may update this Privacy Policy as aQRify changes or as legal requirements evolve. The Last updated date will show when the page was most recently changed.

For material changes that meaningfully affect privacy rights or practices, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice before the change takes effect.

Continued use of aQRify after an updated Policy takes effect means you acknowledge the updated practices.

Privacy questions, requests, and complaints can be sent through the support or contact method made available on the aQRify website or inside your account dashboard.
