Static vs. Dynamic QR Codes
Static QR codes contain the final payload. Dynamic QR codes contain a aQRify short link that redirects to a destination managed in your workspace.
What matters most
- Static codes are simple and permanent.
- Dynamic codes support destination changes and analytics.
- A dynamic service must remain active for its redirects to work.
Recommended workflow
- List whether the destination may change.
- Decide whether analytics or expiration is required.
- Choose static for permanence or dynamic for management.
Questions and answers
Can a static QR become dynamic later?
No. The printed modules encode different data, so converting modes requires a new QR image.
